Service: OpenSEO, hosted at seo.ascendifynow.com ("the Service", "we", "us")
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Service is a self-hosted deployment of the open-source OpenSEO platform, operated by Ascendify ("the Operator").
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account or sign in with Google, we store your name, email address, and authentication identifiers needed to maintain your session.
Project and usage data. Domains, keywords, queries, reports, and settings you create while using the Service.
Connected Google data (optional). If you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we access the read-only data those APIs return (e.g. search performance metrics, analytics reports) to display it inside the Service.
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) generated by the web server for security and reliability.
2. How we use information
To provide and operate the Service and its SEO features.
To authenticate you and secure your account.
To retrieve and present SEO, Search Console, and Analytics data you request.
To maintain, debug, and protect the Service.
3. Google user data — Limited Use
The Service's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
Google user data (Search Console and Analytics) is used only to provide and improve user-facing features within the Service.
We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
Humans do not read Google user data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymized.
You may disconnect Google access at any time from within the Service or via your
Google Account permissions page. Disconnecting revokes our ability to access that data.
4. Third-party services
To function, the Service sends certain requests to third parties:
DataForSEO — SEO data provider. Search queries and domains you analyze are sent to DataForSEO to return results.
Google APIs — for optional Search Console / Analytics integration and for Google sign-in.
AI provider (optional) — if AI features are enabled, relevant context may be sent to the configured model provider to generate responses.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
5. Data retention
Account and project data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact). Server logs are retained only as long as needed for operational and security purposes.
6. Security
The Service is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS. Access requires authentication. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by contacting us. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
